I finally signed it. I call this painting Visitation, No. 2. (Mixed-media on canvas, 180 x 120 cm.) it’s a rather large piece of artwork that would look great in a large ornate room. Someone asked me why I called it ‘Visitation’. I have always believed that we are spiritual beings. As an artist, we wait for the muse, for inspiration to come to us, whether through hardship or joy. The ‘visitation’ is that muse; it does not need to be a ‘human’ or ‘god-like’ manifestation; it is ethereal and mystical, like clouds. Untouchable. The clouds change form and shape, so it can be anything.
