The Asian Male Project | Photography
The Asian Male Project is my personal exploration of the Asian male nude, inspired by the work of photographer Herb Ritts. My first photographic session was in 1999, after some friends and I rented a small flat in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, as a recreational creative space. I was interested in both painting and photography. Five years later, my photography of Asian men—primarily friends from the gym—gained a generous following. This led me to publish my first photography book, The Asian Male – 1.AM, followed by two more books, 2.AM and 3.AM.
