Following in the footsteps of its predecessors, Elysium, No. 4 continues the landscape of floating, cloud-like apparitions—ethereal forms that also resemble blooming balloons. Mysterious and dreamlike, the painting evokes a sense of weightlessness, where sky and flora merge into a surreal vision. In this piece, wisp-like leaves drift upon the water’s surface, introducing an organic fluidity. Influenced by Monet’s Water Lilies, impressionistic elements emerge in the depiction of water-based plants, adding depth and movement to the composition.
