In my previous post of Kelvin, I used a white backdrop and never came around to using the black. I said we have to continue another time to finish what I had intended to work on that evening. Several weeks later, he came back to my studio in Kwai Chung and we continued out session. Without much hesitation, he took off his clothing. Entirely. Somewhat taken back by his astounding physique, I told him ‘Your butt is really nice’. He smiled and said ‘Basketball’. I nodded and smiled back. With that, we photographed for about 2 hours in a variety of different poses and lighting styles that accentuated his body. I think he must have practiced in front of a mirror to know what angles might look good for the camera. I have to say, I didn’t expect him to be so carefree, but later on he told me it was his honour to be photographed by me. This images are not retouched and fine-tuned, but I’m sure several of these and others will make it to the limited edition collection on my website. That is still going to take some time. And just to clarify, these images were selected by him and not me, but there is some overlap.
