Quarry Bay – Island East Corridor

I have always been fascinated by large structures, especially of those in a state of construction, raw or worn state. This includes industrial buildings, airplanes, yachts and even things like old mechanical equipment that has been discarded and rusted. Being in an industrial area of the city, these can be readily found in adjacent alleys.

On this occasion, I wandered to Quarry Bay to see the under belly of the Island Eastern Corridor that stretches along Hong Kong Island’s north side. Many times I have traversed on the harbour side thinking this would be an ideal place to get some photos of this brutal hard place.
