Toronto – Architecture

My fascination with capturing Toronto’s architectural landscape transcended mere documentation of buildings; it delved into the realm of uncovering intricate patterns and compelling shapes woven into the city’s urban fabric. While meandering through the city streets, my perspective evolved from the commonplace ground-level view to an upward gaze, albeit not vertically skyward (a courtesy extended to my neck, back, and overall physical well-being).

Nonetheless, this shift in perspective revealed an unexpected splendour, with grand edifices and the mesmerizing convergence of perspective lines captivating my visual senses. In many instances, I’ve explored the concept of duality in my work by producing negative versions of the captured images, effectively playing with the interplay of light and dark, as well as the contrasting dynamics of positive and negative space.
