Toronto Street-style

While street-styled photography has been a somewhat less-explored realm in my portfolio, the opportunity to capture the vibrant cityscape of Toronto, a place I already held close to my heart, presented itself during a spontaneous trip. Armed with my newly acquired Nikon Z7, paired with the versatile NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 lens, I embarked on this creative journey. It’s worth noting that I’m not typically one to wield a discreet, compact-sized camera, but this new setup added an extra layer of complexity to the experience. Through a combination of hands-on experimentation and diligent research via numerous YouTube tutorials, I gradually unravelled the intricacies of autofocus tracking, revealing the wonders of this remarkable technology. The curated selection of images presented below falls loosely within the realm of street-styled photography. Guided by intuition, I felt compelled to infuse warmth into these visual narratives, applying subtle yet impactful colour adjustments to accentuate the golden-orange hues. I must confess a certain affinity for the vintage aesthetic reminiscent of film, particularly the iconic Kodachrome look, as well as a personal preference for richer, more saturated colours.
